Sacramento transit.

It's Sunday. Which means that the buses barely run. It is frustrating because I need to do errands and unlike SF mini. Public transit doesn't run on Sunday past 6pm.

Also prices have gone up and now you don't get any transfers unless you buy a day pass.

While I have a drivers license, I don't own a car and have worked around the limited transit schedule for more than 10 years. But as prices rise and services dwindle, I may be forced into buying a car. but that's a whole different rant... I mean post.

My own DSLR - Canon D60

Just realized I didn't get to share my good news -- I have my very own DSLR now -- Canon D60.  It was a good choice for me, I do mostly Fine Art Photography and am "expanding my horizons" next semester to take Commercial/Advertising Photography.

This past semester I took Studio Lighting Class at American River College in Sacramento.  I learned so much because it wasn't your run of the mill studio lighting class.  It was more of DIY lighting class.  We made were separated into various groups and got to make our own light modifiers/features like snoots, softboxes, diffusers, bokeh, ringlights, etc.  It makes you think of light in a different way.  I learned how to light a subject with items I made for $20 that if it was "professional lighting equipment" would have cost me at least $150 to $500.
